SHMUEL HANAVI

SHMUEL HANAVI is a large-scale urban renewal project that reimagines one of Jerusalem's longest-established neighborhoods. Designed as a comprehensive redevelopment, the project replaces aging residential buildings with a contemporary mixed-use community that reflects the needs of modern city living while preserving the character and identity of its surroundings.

Rather than focusing solely on new residential buildings, the masterplan creates an entirely new urban environment. A diverse collection of architectural forms, landscaped courtyards, pedestrian-friendly public spaces, community facilities, commercial areas, and places of worship are carefully integrated to establish a neighborhood designed for everyday life, connection, and long-term sustainability.

The visual presentation was developed to communicate both the architectural vision and the scale of the transformation. Particular attention was given to the relationship between the buildings, public spaces, natural light, and the overall rhythm of the neighborhood, allowing the project to be experienced not only as a collection of buildings, but as a vibrant community designed for future generations.
